A Note from the General Manager

So Casper life-timers, tell me, when will the weather stop being so fickle? Our weather has been a little warm and then turns chilly and breezy, but good for the most part. Since temperatures are starting to get lower especially in the evenings Beverage Cart service will be ending at 5PM, except on Wednesday which will be 8 PM, and Saturday and Sunday will be 6 PM. Is it almost time to carry a jacket/sweater in the cart?

Make plans to enjoy these next few opportunities to compete: Sept 7th & 8th Young Bulls and Old Bulls. This is for bragging rights for the next 12 months between the young golfers and the more mature (in age only) golfers. You’ll want to reserve your spot early! On September 21st & 22nd Casper Country Club is hosting the Casper Cup. This is a competition between the golfers from Paradise Valley CC and our elite team. Let’s show them what you’ve got!

For your dining pleasure, on Friday, September 13th we will feature Diane Lynn in the Bar. Follow that with Date Night Saturday the 14th. This is a great time to “wind down from your busy week” so make a reservation for dinner, just you and your best friends/spouse – we will watch your children while you enjoy a nice and relaxing dinner at the club. The kids love having a good time with their friends and the chance to play a few games!

Back to my comment about the weather, lifeguards will NOT be on duty nor will the snack bar be in operation effective from Tuesday, September 2nd. Signs to this effect will be posted, but please remind your family members. Also, while it should not be necessary to say this, jumping off the slide into the pool is dangerous and is not allowed at any time. The pool is very swallow and this rule is to try to prevent injuries. Mom, please remind your children, guests, and Dad!

Sunday evening dining has proven to be quite popular so we are keeping the restaurant open for dinner service Sunday evenings until 7PM. This is a great time to bring non-member friends out to see what your Club has to offer and you just might have found a new member!

We are excited to announce October 24th we are having a Stag’s Leap Wine Dinner! The Chef is creating an exclusive 5-course dinner and Stag’s Leap will introduce 5 perfect wines to complement each dish. This is the premier event of the Fall, and seating will be very limited. Learn how Stag’s Leap Winery lives up to its reputation of “An iron fist in a velvet glove”.

Remember if you have a suggestion, comment or concern my door is always open and I would to hear from you. Sometimes the simplest suggestion develops into the catalyst for the greatest change. Your ideas will be considered by Management and the Board – you might be the greatest thinker of the year! I hope to see you around the club soon.

– Dale
